It's been a fun couple of years here on Deviant Art, but I think it's time to call it quits. I've met a lot of cool people through this website, and I enjoyed the time I spent sharing my work with you guys, but it's becoming more and more apparent that no matter what I do here, my comics will always be taken and distributed without proper citation. Drawing comics is something I would like to one day do for a living, and if my own work can't be attributed to me with the way things are right now, then I need to figure out a way to make that happen.
I will continue to do my comics as usual, but I will not be uploading them anywhere other than my own personal website
[link] and on my Tumblr
[link], so be sure to follow me there. Deviant Art is a great place to get noticed, but the community here is very niche and I feel like I've gone as far as I can go. If I ever do delve into the world of flash animation, I will certainly upload them here on Deviant Art, and I might upload some random doodles here and there, but that's about as much as I'll do. I still get notes from people trying to contact me here. If you want to contact me for whatever reason, email me at keatonstoos@gmail.com.
Remember, guys. Art is a person's lifework. Every image you've ever seen on the internet was created by somebody. There's a reason why I write my signature on every comic I do, and when that signature gets erased the comic becomes just another random image in some anonymous internet user's "funny picture" folder. I do appreciate that people enjoy what I do, but I would also like it to be attributed to a source.
Now I'm just rambling. Thanks for the fun times guys.
Things That Blow Up

1. Your art will get stolen anywhere on the internet where people can download your image (=everywhere). Limiting your audience isn't going to prevent that.
2. You said that one day you want to do this for a living. But to be able to go that route, you need to get your name out there, and dA is perfect for that. Lot's of pros started out here.
Again, I respect your choice and will miss your comics popping up in my devwatch. I will follow you on tumblr, absolutely, but I don't think everyone will.
